No preview available - I wouldn't worry too much about abstract algebra as a prerequisite. I have read an introductory book on general topology,and functional analysis also by kreyszig. I will likely be saved by my inability to get copies of some of these in short order. For instance, the level of algebraic facility assumed is a bit higher geomtery I think my students will muster.
